Swetha’s party snippet- “I still can’t believe how soon a year passed by filled with a lifetime of memories! When I was looking for the themes for my daughter’s first birthday party, I happened to hear this song: ‘You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy when skies are gray. You’ll never know dear, how much I love you Please don’t take my sunshine away.’ And I could think of no one but Meghna! So I decided this as the theme for her first birthday as she truly makes us happy always and not just when skies are grey!! I wanted her to be comfortable and enjoy her first birthday as much as she can, so I hosted a small party with just family and close friends. Most importantly I am a D.I.Y person and care for the environment. So, I decided to do an eco-friendly party. Everything you see here is eco-friendly and handmade either by me or from Etsy. I chose all the party supplies including plates, spoons, and forks as biodegradable ones. Fortunately my baby is scared of balloons (You should see her face when she sees a balloon!! :D ). I tried it and am very proud that I hosted an almost 95% plastic free party!! If I can, you can too!!
