“Wild One” Where the Wild Things Are Cake Smash + 1st Birthday
This is what Brandie shared about the occasion- “This celebration was extra special to me as this sweet little boy belongs to me. I new from the early stages of planning Luke’s first birthday/cake smash that it had to be a “Wild One” theme inspired from the book “Where the Wild things are” by Maurice Sendak. My oldest son loves this book and from the day Luke was born he would often tell him that he will “Eat him up he loves him so”. When was began thinking about how I wanted to create his set, I knew I wanted the colours to represent the rich colours of fall and the tie in with the book. I also wanted it to appear as night with the dark backdrop and yellow stars as it was night time when Max becomes King of all the wild things. I created a leaf banner for the background, hung yellow stars and crowned my little prince for an unforgettable moment bringing in his first birthday.” Styling & Photography: Brandie Coe Photography
