Heather Bailey’s Nicey Jane fabric collection became the inspiration for the party. On the day of the party, the children’s playroom was transformed into a sewing room, complete with a vintage rotary sewing machine, vintage spools of thread and hand-made pin cushions. Christine created a simple backdrop by stretching fabric on embroidery hoops of various sizes and hanging them on a giant cork board. Vintage blue mason jars holding fresh flowers were placed on each of the tables, and DIY ruffled fabric garlands {tutorial here} were draped across chair backs. Sewing themed desserts included a sewing basket cake by PhoebeCakes, spool of thread cape pops {tutorial found here}, and sugar cookies by JP Creatibles. Beautifully sewn pencil pouches by Bagel Creations and hand-crafted button cards were give to guests as they left the party…
