This is what Julie shared about the party- ‘Surf’s Up! Summer is nearly over, but there is always time for a surfer themed birthday party!! We loved pulling together this fun party and hope you find inspiration for your upcoming event! When working on the design, we wanted to incorporate new twists on this classic party theme. Our dessert’s backdrop is none other than a 3D surfboard rack. We chose a simple burlap table cloth as our base and then added this custom printed wave printed fabric from Minted as an overlay. for a bit of whimsy, and some pops of color, we layered a felt ball garland and our beach shorts banner across the table’s front. One of the highlights of putting this party together was the ability to showcase our newest tabletop collection, including this vintage van dessert plate, modern wave dinner plate and fun Surf’s Up paper cups. These surf board napkins from Oriental Trading completed our tabletop design. We dressed up store bought cupcakes with these fun waves wrappers and toppers from our printable collection. The cake featured simple, modern navy circles along the base of a buttercream cake. We added surf board cookies and brown sugar to resemble sand to dress up the cake’s top. Each party guest took home these fun sand buckets filled with goodies and tied with these fun tags reading, “Thanks Dude”.’
