This is what Kimberly shared about styling the party- ‘ “I just don’t see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be so bad?” I think I went a bit nuts on this one but my daughter Mazie has always loved the Little Mermaid so we went for it! Of all the Disney characters, I can relate to this one the most. Ariel was a collector of trinkets and antiques, as am I! My husband would say hoarder, I say treasure collector. I focused in on the “grotto”, her collection of treasures and turned my backyard into a sparkly under the sea dream for my big girl Mazie. I even brought in a vintage dinghy boat to use for the sand treasure area.
Designing the Look
I wanted the look to be both vintage AND rustic so I incorporated both wood and shabby chic pieces to balance it all out. Gorgeous Ariel made our party complete when she arrived and surprised my daughter! What a glamorous day for my Mazie!
