Vintage Comic Book Superhero Party Details:
This is what Candice shared about styling the party- “For my little man’s first birthday I really wanted it to POP! I was excited to create a Vintage POP Art Comic Book Theme. I found these adorable Andersruff printables that can be found all over the party from the gift tags, large “A” symbols, Large group coloring sheet, invitations and labels, sandwich & popcorn tags, Happy Birthday Banner. I also ordered vintage stamps for the invitations to keep with the vintage theme. There are a lot of Super Hero party items out there and I wanted to stay true to the vintage feel! I wanted some fun photo booths to remember the day and all those that came to celebrate.I had a black & white dot booth with lots of props right as the guests entered and I also my friends panted the amazing Superman/Wonder Woman inspired prop that we had in the backyard! For both my kids I made a CD (I know a little old fashioned but people loved) soundtrack for their first birthdays with songs that reminded me of them and went with the theme from the party. Each family got to take one home and we played it at the party.
Asher-man’s had songs like:
– Happy – Pharrell Williams – You’ve got a friend in me – Randy Newman – The Fox – Ylvis. – Party Rock Anthem – The Chipmunks & The Chipettes – Greatest American Hero Theme – Joey Scarbury – Moves like Jagger – Maroon 5 – Best Day of my life – American Authors My friend Bree helped to design the CD covers as well as the Pin the “A” on Asher-man game.
Candy Table, Sweets, and Cake
I did a themed candy table that tied in all the colors to display with the cake using some super hero decor I had from Ashers room (tin lunch boxes and gumball machine). I have this table canopy that I use in situations of harsh sun so treats/cake does not get too hot and melt and the yellow striped backdrop really helped the candy and cake colors pop! The cake, smash cake, rice krispie treats and cookies were by Kristine Guerrero from Eat Your Cake Too! I really love the Vintage POP Comic Book theme as a fun take on Super Hero parties – it was sooooo fun! I absolutely love the colors (and dots) and the way it all came together.” Vendors: Event Design – Hustle & Heart Photography & Party Design Photography – Primrose Plum Photography Printables – Andersruff Crown & Cape(s) – Lovelane Loot Bags – Oriental Trading Cake(s), cookies & treats – Eat Your Cake Too Cups, Lids, Straws – Party Cup Medley Lunch – Jersey Mikes Want more superhero party ideas?
