Under the Sea + Mermaid Party Details:This is what April said about designing the party- “My husband and I were childhood friends and our first trip to the movies together was to see The Little Mermaid. He was Princess Eric and I of course was Princess Ariel. Fast forward many years and our daughter’s favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid. For my daughter’s 3rd birthday, I decided to do an Under The Sea inspired party. My goal was to make our guests feel like they had actually traveled under the sea. The color scheme was iridescent lilac, aqua, pearl and gold. I enclosed the dessert table with a white sheer canopy and hung sea creature cut outs and glass balls sea bubbles filled with sand, sea glass and sea shells. Over the dessert table, hung the 3, which was made by the birthday girl and I. The cutout was made using foam board from my local dollar store and hot gluing sand, sea shells and sea glass. We laid sand and sea shells at the bottom of the dessert table to give the illusion o f the sea shore. The dessert table was filled with gorgeous under the sea inspired desserts including sea shell macaroons, custom sugar cookies designed to look like mermaid tails, sea shells and of course The Little Mermaid. The cake included sea shells, coral and sea horse details. One of my favorite items on the dessert table were the cake pops. I knew I wanted to incorporate dinglehoppers somehow into the décor. The cakepops were designed to look like sea pearls with coral and sea star details and we used dinglehoppers as the cakepop stick! The children sat at a kids table with throw pillows as seats. The table was decorated with fish bowls, pearls and sea shells. Each child had a personalized sea shell shaped escort card with their name on it. The kids enjoyed bubbles, sand and water activities as well as a Little Mermaid piñata. Overall, it was an Under The Sea adventure enjoyed by everyone”!!!! Party Supplies Available from this Party:
