Kelly said– I LOVE owls, so I couldn’t wait to get started planning a Look WHOOs ONE themed 1st birthday party for my twins, Matthew and Molly. Plus, it was the perfect gender-neutral party theme! I started off by purchasing some fun colorful background clipart and cute owl clipart…. and the decorating began! Using this clip art (and about a ton of ribbon!), I was able to create the invitations, a “Happy Birthday Matthew and Molly” banner, water bottle labels, bubble labels, birthday party hats, and over 30 feet of party bunting. I painted polka dots onto flowerpots to make the flowers arrangements a little more whimsical and Hoot Hoot pots to display some of the goodies. I also painted wooden signs trimmed in bark to hang throughout the party. I really wanted the twins highchairs to look special and festive since that is where the all-important cake smash would happen. I was able to find an inexpensive tree decal for the wall and fancied it up with a wooden sign and some printable owls. I then just decorated their highchairs by draping them with some cute fabric and name signs. It added a bit of whimsy to the area, and made for an even cuter photo op! For the goodies, I made Owl Oreo Pops (displayed in flowerpots) and Pretzel Twigs to go along with the beautiful cake from Dallas Affaires Cake Co. Finally, I found the most adorable plush owl party favors and set them up around an old birdcage. They were a big hit with the kiddos! I had such a blast creating this boy/girl birthday party and loved using all the bright fun colors to celebrate my little baby hooties!
