“Ellie’s 10th Birthday was in the middle of October. Since she loves all things pineapple, we created a tropical oasis with a pineapple patch, shave ice bar and even build-your-own favors. With only five guests, it was really fun to take the details to the next level while keeping the party intimate. First, the balloons and hula fringe gave the guests the feeling of being in Hawaii. Plus, fresh flowers cascaded down the center of the table. Finally, each girl was given her own flower crown. The girls sat on pillows while they each enjoyed individual pineapple boats filled with treats. When the guests were done indulging on their pineapples and Hawaiian pizza, they made their own shave ice. Then, they ate custom cookies and the most decadent red velvet cake. The party was held by the pool so the guests could really pretend they were in the tropics. They finished the party by building their own favor bags. This involved filling a beautiful beach bag with assorted items, including pineapple candies, beach sheets, sunscreen and even flamingo poppers.
