Tropical FOURest Birthday Party
Tropical FOURest Birthday Party Details:
This is what Juliet shared about the party- “My daughter Hazy is a summer baby so I wanted to do something fresh and fun to celebrate her turning four. I own the best playspace in LA, the COOP — so the venue is a no brainer for me… but I always want to be sure I come up with a fun theme. I also love a party that incorporates headdresses for everyone… so a fresh fruity fun Tropical FOURest party with Carmen Miranda type headdresses was born!!! The headdresses and the hand painted tablecloths turned out to be QUITE a labor of love — but I do love how they both turned out — and my little Hazy is certainly worth the effort!
Decor and Sweets
I wanted to use copious amounts of fresh fruits as the “centerpiece” on the main table — and I love how that looked. The show stopping cake is from Julie at Blue Cupcake whose stunning (and sooooo delicious) creations absolutely NEVER disappoint. I mean — look at those leaves… that flamingo! She’s an artist! Outside I cut green poster board in the shape of leaves (I love a paper craft!) and hung them around the Tropical 4est Balloons from Northstar Balloons. The indoor table cloth was hand painted and the outside ones were spray painted… both fun projects I did at home with the help of my kiddos (esp the spray painted ones!) The Pineapple cups are from Oriental Trading — not incredibly unique — but the kids just love them!!!
Party Hats and More
My other favorite thing I made was the clear party hats. I put ferns/ leaves inside and pom pom on top-fab! It was a bit of an experiment — but I really loved how they turned out. Everyone feasted on loads of fresh delicious fruit and tropical cocktails (gotta give the adults a good reason to come to a 4 year old’s party!) and had an absolute blast. I thought it was a really fun, bright way to celebrate my little girl’s big day… and I think everyone who got to wear a tropical headpiece and taste that delicious cake would agree! Big thanks to Katie Jackson for capturing the fun!” Tropical love inside this Tropical Tiki Birthday Party and this Tropical Aloha Themed Bridal Shower Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
