Lorax Party Details: This is what April said about planning/styling the party- “My son Bryce loves The Lorax. So when his 5th Birthday was coming up I knew it would be a great birthday theme. I wanted it to be whimsy and bright with tons of “Thneedville” theme treats and of course… truffula trees! I made the truffula trees myself. I used wooden dowels for the tree trunks. I spray painted them white and added marks on them with a pencil to resemble the ones in the movie. I glued foam discs and different color feather boas together for the truffula tufts. The Puffy clouds were made from white felt that I cut out in the shape of a cloud and stuffed and sewed together. I used paper grass (the kind you use in easter baskets) all over the the table to look like fresh Thneedville grass. The cake stands were from Pier 1 and the cake was a white cake with green icing on top to resemble grass from Kroger Bakery. I added a “Happy Birthday Bryce” mini banner to the top and some mini truffula trees whic h I made from paper straws and pom pom clips I found at Hobby Lobby. All of the banners, cupcake toppers and food Labels were printables from Petite Party Studio (an Etsy Seller). We had Barbaloot trail mix (mini marshmallows and chocolate teddy grahams), Seuss Juice (Orange bottled soda), Butterfly milk (coconut milk) I added paper straws to the glasses and glued yellow mustaches to them. The glasses were recycled frappacino drinks. There were also Humming Fish (Swedish Fish), Swamee Swans (Peeps), Truffula Seeds (Bubble Gum Balls) and jumbo marshmallows (like the ones that Ted feeds the forest animals). Bryce was so excited to see his Lorax birthday party! All of the guests loved the Thneedville treats and cake”. Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
