This is what Luxmy shared about setting up for the activity- “For Sophias birthday party, the unicorn birthday cake was one of the things I was looking forward to working on the most. I love baking and decorating cakes, so I thought itd be nice to have all the little girls decorate their own mini unicorn cake! Our dining room served as our space for cake decorating. For the party, I wanted the décor to be clean, simple and PINK. I made a balloon garland which I used as a backdrop. I styled the table with the goodie bags, flowers and headbands which were displayed on white jewelry stands. The rest of the table consisted of the 4in mini cakes which I baked and frosted the night before, and white cake stands with all the cake decorating supplies. I made mini unicorn ears, horns and lashes with cardstock paper and glitter. I also made a bigger version of the cake and decorated it to use as a sample to give the girls an idea of how to decorate their cakes. The girls had so much fun decorating their mini cakes! Each one of them personalized their cake and made it their own. They were so excited and so into cake decorating! This is by far one of my favorite birthday party activities.”
