This is what Audrey shared about the party:
“My daughter, Mia, loves going to ballet class and dancing to Swan Lake at home, so the theme for her birthday party came easily! I wanted it to be a little less fancy than most ballet-themed parties I’d seen. Instead, I was aiming for a lighthearted birthday vibe. The color scheme I chose was pink and silver with hints of iridescent shimmer. I used a lot of balloons, garlands, confetti, and layers of colors and textures to achieve my desired look and feel. I illustrated a swan for the invitation, then used that image on several of the printables. I also used it to make stickers for party favors and drink bottles. I collaborated with a few other brand owners that I love, including Alicia of Alicia Long Design who created some beautiful iridescent swan and star cookies that matched my illustrations perfectly. Jenn and Jules Design created adorable ballet-inspired drink stirrers (these were such a big hit with the girls!). Also, sisters, Leslie and Lauren of Mrs. Morris Made, created twinkle star garlands which added perfect shiny accents throughout the party. I also DIY-ed a lot of the decorations including the streamer backdrop, balloon garland, piñata, feather garlands, and most of the food. (Whew!) The party was held at lunchtime, so we served build-your-own sandwiches, chips, fruits, and veggies. Drinks included water, tea, and raspberry lemonade. For dessert, we had a white cake with vanilla buttercream and white chocolate ganache, cupcakes, cake batter truffles, and sugar cookies. Party favors included swan masks, king and queen crowns, party horns, and favor bags full of loot from the piñata. My biggest piece of advice is to give yourself way more time than you think you need, especially when there are DIYs involved! This was the first big party we hosted in the morning instead of the evening. This actually worked to my advantage since I had to have most everything finished the day before. It definitely made for a much calmer party day. We had so much fun with this party and hope you enjoy the photos!” Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
