Superman Party Details: This is what Angie said about designing/styling this party- “For Makenzie’s 1st birthday party / Korean Dol, we worked closely with his parents to create a Superman theme that evoked a vintage, classic metropolis. The cake table was designed as a cityscape with DIY “buildings”. To DIY these, we designed and printed building graphics, then adhered them to the inside of acrylic photo frame boxes that can be purchased at craft stores. To complete the cityscape backdrop, we used matching building graphics created by Makenzie’s father who is an Art Director, and had them enlarged onto foamcore. The skyline of the buildings was cut out to the building shapes and propped up behind the cake table to create our custom background. The amazing birthday cake, made by Cakes by Christine NY was inspired by the Daily Planet building and had a custom cake topper of the Daily Planet globe and a baby SuperMak. Guests also got to indulge in a candy bar set up with square and rectangular glass containers decorated with window cut outs to complete the cityscape design. Sweets included green rock candy Kryptonite, chocolate globes, Superman shaped logo cake pops and POW/ZAP/MAK expression sugar cookies on a bed of “rubble” that was actually edible chocolate rocks. Other event details included a Doljabi raffle for the traditional grabbing ceremony, custom “What Will Makenzie Choose” poster, table top Daily Planet newspaper style menus and face painter/balloon twister for the kids. We had a wonderful time planning and designing this event and wish SuperMak an amazing birthday!” Keep the 1st birthday fun going with these parties: Up Themed 1st Birthday Party Thomas the Train 1st Birthday Sailor Bear 1st Birthday Party Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
