Sunshine Baby Shower Details: This is what was said about the party- “Sweetly Detailed created this stunning dessert table for a “Sunshine” themed gender neutral baby shower. The aim was to focus on a more simplistic approach of doing a dessert table. Thinking of sunshine you definitely think of the colour yellow and combined with grey it just gives a great balance of bright and softness to the entire display. These two colours together makes me so HAPPY :) Funny how certain colour combinations can bring so much joy and emotion. Definitely something to think of to get your guests into the right mood ,feel welcome and celebrative. Chevron designed backdrop was a must for the client, as I know that the chevron pattern has come and gone, but I must admit that it truly complimented this simple design. (We are a bit behind in South Africa in terms of current trends in the USA and the UK…please bear with us :) The dessert table was set up in an open loft venue with natural light coming through from all the angles. Important hint to future clients are to make sure that your dessert table is in a room with lots of natural light coming through, this not only makes your party photographer super happy, but it literally makes the event planners creativity and details on the dessert table shine through! We decided to go with a variety of desserts and treats even though the guest amount was only for 15 people. Adding a bigger variety of treats in less amounts of each treat really gives your guests a lot of yummy treats to choose from. The desserts and treats were colour coordinated with the theme and colours of the baby shower but still focusing on the simple and fresh approach. All white ceramic glassware gave us the space to add colour onto the treats and dessert , making them the main focus of the table. Treats and desserts that were included: red velvet cupcakes with vanilla frosting in cute yellow chevron cupcake cases, cherry walnut cake pops with gumpaste flowers, petite rice crispy treats covered in drops of chocolate, nougat and lemon cheese cake macarons, the most delicious nutella piped chocolate brownies (yes, I had a taste of the left overs), vanilla meringues and lemon sugar coated jelly sticks. The client provided the homemade cake topped with bright yellow tulips. The final pop of colour to the dessert table was added by using bright yellow florals that gave a fresh and clean effect. With one stem in each tiny vase. Even though the theme is not original , I hope that everyone will see our ideas and simple approach that we were going for.” Party Supplies Available from this Party:
