Spooky Halloween Inspired Birthday Party Details: This is what Melita shared about the party- “I have always wanted to have a Halloween party, and since my son Alek was born in October this was the perfect opportunity to combine the two occasions. I had saved up cute pottery barn kid Halloween plates and miscellaneous decorations. My favorite thing to do for the kids party is to add the rustic/vintage element. So the colors are black and orange and some burlap. Since it was a kids party, nothing scary would be part of the set up. My son loves pumpkins, so we had that at the front and side entrance to the house with directions and décor on where to enter. Of course, I had to have a lot of sweets, candy, donuts, candied apple, chocolate dipped Oreos, and miniature pumpkin pies. For entertainment, I had a magician, fortune teller, and photo booth. It was also fun to have parents as well as kids dress up. To encourage more interaction we made several tables into one long table. We wanted to make each area a somewhat of a room. So we had the couch for entertainment and the big dining room with the bat chandeliers and the cardboard candelabras. Everyone was able to take a pumpkin home as a favor. Once you pick your theme, the ideas start flowing… nothing has to exactly match but tie everything together.”
