Winter ONEderland Party Details: This is what Rebecca said about the party- Since Belle was born on Christmas Eve, her parents wanted to mesh hints of Christmas and winter for her 1st birthday party. Pink Martini Events pulled together the design of the event and strayed away from the usual red and green holiday colors. Instead, they kept it on the elegant and whimsical side by sticking to colors of silver, white, gold and touches of pink to bring Belle’s “one”derland to life. The dessert table was the main focus and Cakes by Tricia Faye made just the perfect cake. The cake toppers were a pair of fluffy birds dressed in winter clothes which matched the pair of decorative birds Belle’s mommy and daddy found at Target. That same table was made even tastier with desserts by a dear friend, Melinda, and of course, James from Mr. & Mrs. Creamery. There were plenty of sweets to go around for all of Belle’s guests. Some desserts included snowflake sugar cookies, Rice Krispie bars, macarons in marbled pink colors, berry panna cottas, and of course, mini red velvet cupcakes. The dessert backdrop was lined with string lights and layered over with glitter tulle and white chiffon to create a dreamy winter look. Oh Shiny! Paper Co’s added the final touches with a golden signage that read “Belle’s Onederland.” Finally, the entire back wall space was covered with strands of falling 3D paper snowflakes. For entertainment, Belle’s parents hosted “Belle’s Birthday Bingo,” which was a huge hit for guests of all ages to enjoy. Following a few rounds of bingo, everyone gathered to watch a popular Taiwanese first birthday tradition where an assortment of items are placed in front of the child and the item he or she “grabs” determines their career paths. For Belle’s grab ceremony, her options were a stethoscope, book, paint brush, calculator, ruler, microphone, and a ball. Belle went straight for the calculator and kept it for the rest of the afternoon. Want more 1st Birthday fun?
