This is what Nana shared about the party- “Every year is an extra special time to celebrate my daughters birthday. I absolutely love coming up with different themes every year and just to see how her face lights up means the world to me. This year Olivia requested a Shopkins party for her 7th birthday. Her specific requests were Shopkins, holographic, winter and ice-cream cake . We wanted to give the Shopkins theme a modern spin. Since we are in winter the winter wonderland theme fit in perfectly. The concept was to set up a small winter village with the tiny Shopkins in between. All her friends had a blast discovering all the cute Shopkins everywhere. For the party plates and cutlery the idea was to do something a little more custom and different from the store bought plates. I simply printed out coloring pages and added her name and age to it then placed them on the plates and cups which they colored later. The cutlery was wrapped in ribbon with cute Shopkin candy canes. For the dessert table the main attraction were the donuts, her fave! We made the donuts at home the morning of the party. She even chose the colors for her ice-cream cake. We added in some reindeer cookies and marshmallows. The kids decorated holiday themed cookies with icing and tons of sprinkles, danced and played. One of the highlights of the party is that they “just” played, no rules, just plain old fun filled with giggles and excitement! It was fun putting it all together because she got to help out and decide exactly how she wanted her party to be”.
