RUSTIC VINTAGE WOODLAND PARTY DETAILS:
Anna said this about the party- “Welcome to our family Christmas table for 2014. A rustic gathering to bring us back to the simple pleasures of life. This Vintage woodland christmas was celebrated under the sunny Australian summer sky. The old timber table was taken out under a sprawling tree and decorated with moss table runners, moss covered deer, wood slice place mats, deer topped mason jars filled with nuts and sweets and a rugged ginger chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. The gorgeous mini wood slice name tags were created by Pointless Pretty Party on Etsy. Individually handcrafted and personalised, these tags were tied onto guest favours (chocolate nougat puddings) which also served as place settings. My mother spent days making a delicious christmas pudding, and my son made all of christmas food including a baked orange maple glazed ham, rosemary potato sticks, sautéed greens with red wine vinegar and a roast pumpkin and feta salad. The food was served on a rustic timber pallet on top of a hay stack. Pistachio and cranberry sugar cookie stacks were strewn throughout the table, tied with gold ribbon. I spray painted plastic pears and pine cones to provide a hint of Christmas glimmer. Our gathering was small, but I put a lot of thought into creating a vintage woodland theme with an earthy, organic feel to it. I used deep red to complement the timber and mossy greens, which gave the table a vintage christmas feel. It was such a wonderful day for our family and hopefully my children will remember it for a long time!” Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
