“I am so happy to present this sweet little lamb shower I styled for two incredibly amazing parents- Kendra and Sergio. Since mommy and daddy are keeping the gender unknown until birth, we had to think of a gender neutral theme that would reflect their modern style while still incorporating the softness and gentleness a new baby would bring. I knew a lamb shower would work perfectly! Along with some amazing vendors, I was able to create a dessert table to help celebrate this family’s growing flock. Enjoy!
Party Details:
It all started with the backdrop! During one of my many trips to Walmart, I noticed the most perfect ivory fabric. It looked exactly like a baby lamb’s coat. I purchased a few yards and started brainstorming how I was going to work this in to my display. Then Bam. It hit me. It would make the perfect backdrop against my table. However it needed a little more. I reached out to Hand for You and they totally delivered with a giant hand painted lamb cutout (lamb inspiration seen on Pinterest). From there everything started flowing together. Guests grazed on cake pops, chocolate mousse, vanilla almond cupcakes, brigaderos, sugar cookies, wrapped Hershey bars, and a yummy two tiered cake. We even served cotton candy cocktails made with perfectly fluffed clouds of vanilla flavored cotton candy.
Decor and Sweets:
And what is a lamb party without a sheep pasture?!? I knew my little pasture had to be stylish so I found tiny barn houses from Joann’s Fabric and Monica of Cake Pops by Monica whipped up some tiny sheep cake balls that adorn my barn perfectly. She did an amazing job and I am so happy with the turnout. Of course everyone knows babies and new parents need a good night’s sleep and counting sleep is always a surefire way to send me off to la la land. So sugar cookie lambs from Creaciones Pazita surrounded by tiny white picket fences rounded out my table. I think the best part of the whole shower was seeing Mom and Dad’s first reaction and Premier Foto did a fantastic job capturing that moment. They were such a joy to work with and I can’t wait until we find out what WE are having!
