“Run Wild” Horse Party Details:This is what Heidi said about planning the party- “Mia’s 6th Birthday Party was based around the theme “Run Wild”. After collaborating with Cake Ink on the invitation design, I wanted to bring “Run Wild” to life so decided on a fresh floral letter wall feature with matching giant cookie letters for the table. My amazing friend and florist (Janine from White Ivy Design) had recently given me some mini peacock chairs that I thought would be perfect as cake stands. We had three cakes – a grey ombre chocolate sponge, a naked white vanilla cake topped with sticky date pudding, salted caramel and red skin flavoured macarons, and the main cake which was piped with a pattern inspired from an Alexander McQueen wedding gown, all iced with buttercream. The petite desserts were white chocolate and strawberry mousse pannacotta cups, garnished with fresh edible flowers. The entertainment for the day was a 2 hour art lesson based around the workings of Claude Monet and Georgia O’Keefe to keep in with the floral theme. There was painting, drawing of their own impressions of the artist’s work. Mia had 9 guests who took home party favour bags filled with personalised cookies, personalised bag tags and chocolates and lollies”.
