This ROCKETS AND ALIENS 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY, submitted by Laila Plant of Two Tiny Loves is too too cute. LOVE the chevron print and green and blue. Party details and vendor credits at the bottom of post…
Here is what Catherine had to say: The theme was rockets and aliens since the first movie we watched together was Tory Story 3 and he seems captivated by the aliens. Rather than go in for the commercial prepackaged toy story parties I sought to focus on the aliens and space. I was inspired by southern Belle’s birthday party that she threw for her 5 year old Grayson. Here was the toy story theme done in a stylish yet fun way. The photographer was Hilary Heydenrick. She did family photos so I hit her to capture the event. I hired the bowling club in maylands which was a large space that I could include a bouncy castle- toy story themed of course. I liaised with Laila from Two Tiny Loves via many emails regarding the theme- green and blue with spots, chevron and stripes. The patterns were inspired by the buying I hand sewed for his nursery. The patterns I had used for his room were chevron, spots, stripes as well as the colours. I then used items from his room to decorate the venue. I had a mixed age group so needed activities for older kids (colouring in pin eye on alien) as well as for younger kids- bouncy castle- bubbles. I was obsessed with little green alien (ask my friends) I spent nights googling pics and crafts of this adorable green creature. I am extremely design oriented and was excited that Laila helped me achieve my vision. I enlisted my best friends to help with food. The cake was made by Isabelle Zurkinden.” Vendor Credits: Photography- The Hilary Printables- Two Tiny Loves Cake- Belle’s Cakes {0407 992 569} Straws, Paper bowls,Paper chains- tinyme Bouncy castle- Ready Steady Sumo Striped paper straws, cupcake wrappers, paper cups, paper plates, brown paper sacks, ribbon, fondant, balloons- All available in Kara’s Party Ideas Shop
