Prince Caspian & The Voyage of The Dawn Treader Party Details This is what Ycoy shared about the party- “Pretending to live in the fictional realm of Narnia is one that we are pretty certain any kid dreams of after having read or seen the C.S. Lewis books and movies. And as a theme for a first birthday party, we simply adore it. We thought of a Narnian theme for Caspian with obviously his name as our main inspiration. However, we opted to steer clear from the winter-y ideas of the first book and instead focused on the third book, which is the Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The party showcased the chapters and the scenes of the 3rd installment. The backdrop reflected the scene wherein Eustace, the dragon is pulling the galleon and leading the Dawn Treader to the right direction. And of course theres the sea of lilies also known as The Silver Sea in the book. The party did it just right but wait until you see our little birthday prince Caspian in his totally cool Narnian costume. Some cool details of the party that we would like to share:
- Those desserts cupcakes, cookies and cake pops are the coolest! The Narnian characters are clearly depicted in their sweetest form!
- And that cake! Cotton Tail Cake Studio is quite literally cake artists slash storytellers.
- The piñatas and the paper mache Narnian characters from Aslan, Eustace, Jadis the White Witch, Reepicheep, Mr. Fox, Mr. Beaver etc. They are truly works of art by our crafts team!
- Another masterpiece of our crafts team are the Dawn Treader loot bags! Wow, just wow! We are just so proud!
- The Book of Incantations that contains Caspians photo gallery. Made of kraft paper and written in calligraphy, it contains snippets of facts about baby Caspian.
- The centerpieces are to die for. Amante Fleurs did a great job in highlighting Aslan in its gold form adorned with gold galleon, crowns and tiaras and florals inside cloches.
- The venues wooden floors also complement the voyage feel of the theme. The hanging gold banners that we put up outside created a royal welcome.
- Remember the painting of The Dawn Treader, the one that became real? Yes, it is the main concept of the dessert bar. Of course our planning would not bear good results without the help of our wonderful vendors, thank you!”
