There is no other iconic place in New York than Central Park and today I’m sharing the picnic in the park party I styled in that very location! There couldn’t have been a more perfect place for this, and as it so happens, the picnic was a real dream and turned out just as I had envisioned. First thing’s first, a huge thank you to the lovely Karen Ayars Festas for all her help in sourcing the NYC-based party and cake vendors!
Picnic in New York Central Park
It has always been a dream of mine to have a picnic in Central Park, and while a picnic basket and a blanket would do for any other picnic, at this iconic New York location, only a gloriously-styled picnic would do. I used earthy tones in the wooden elements to ground this design and added bright pops of color with vibrant flowers wrapped in an understated fashion. This picnic had the most important elements included with the location being ideal, the decor showing off the bright and beautiful event, and finally delicious and tasty food that provided a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach.
