Petit Prince Baby Shower
Leila’s party snippet- “The minute my client found out she was having a boy, she knew she wanted to do a petit prince themed baby shower. Its one of her favorite books, from childhood. She was open to the interpretation. I thought that instead of being so literal we could create an environment, like you stepped into the little princes planet, like you stepped into the universe itself. So I started with a black backdrop, meaning the whole room would be black, dark and intimate. Then from there we did a celestial spin on all the lights. A whole wall of lights, star lights hanging, twinkle lights. Balloons all over the floor to represent being in the clouds. We used white pillows and sheepskin to represent the sheep in the petit prince. The red roses are the princes rose from his planet. And we used a sand colored napkin to represent the desert where the little prince goes on earth. As a gift, she gave organic baobob oil….another nod to the story. As a shower game we played Pisces or Aries… the guests guessed which trait was either Pisces or Aries since the babys due date was right in the middle. The clients favorite food to order at a restaurant is a charcuterie plate, so we created an entire charcuterie table!!
