This is what Chari shared about the party- “I had the pleasure of planning and hosting a darling Under the Sea Mermaid Party for my nieces 8th birthday. The guest list consisted of 12 little mermaids. I planned a day filled with themed décor, a kid-friendly menu, mermaid activities, and sweet treats for the girls to enjoy! I was thrilled to find Craft My Occasions brown mermaid party supplies. Finding the right supplies as a true representation of my niece was most important to me. Next up was the menu and desserts! I knew I wanted to incorporate kid-favorites but wanted to find a creative way to put a spin on them. The finalized menu consisted of Sushi Sandwiches, Hotdog Octopus, and Seaweed Dip to name a few. For the desserts, I worked with a local baker, Good-N-Sweet Treats. The cake was made by Jessicakes, and topped with a custom cake topper designed by, Ana De Roux. For the tables, I made centerpieces with faux florals I picked up at Michaels. I covered the tables with soft pink linens from CV Linens and I rented Chiavari chairs from Sweet Seats. Also, I found my mermaid seat covers at CV Linens as well. I finished off the tables with soft white table runners from Green Earth Studio. I worked with Alexis Burt, a super talented calligrapher, to customize place cards for each of the girls, and to do a freehand design on the DIY mailbox I purchased. It was one of my most favorite things from the party! A party isnt complete without some fun activities. I incorporated two activities that I knew the girls would love. Each guest had a chance to create their own bottle of sand art. I also added mermaid tail canvas drawstring bags and provided fabric markers for the girls to color and customize them. These made for the perfect little favors for the girls and they had a blast getting creative! I made treasure chests for each of the girls as parting gifts, to take home.
