“To start, we wanted to come up with a theme for this first birthday party that would be fun for kids, yet sophisticated enough for all the guests to enjoy. Party Animals seemed to fit the bill perfectly! Next, for the venue, we found a beautiful open space loft in Union Square, NYC. Then, to bring the theme to life, we chose a pastel color palette and used it throughout the tablescape and party decor. With mostly jungle animals represented, we added a penguin to the mix because the birthday girl had a special penguin doll she loved. As party favors, the guests were given custom pastel animal party hats and miniature animal statues.”
Virtual Party Modifications:
During this time of social distancing and the mask or no mask question, it has become a task to modify your desired celebration to fit a social distance party or a virtual celebration. To modify a party like this, you can spread your tables to have 6 feet of distance on each side and then seat family groups together. Make sure you place hand sanitizer on each table and box up the food and other goodies to place at each table to avoid cross-contamination. Celebrating is still possible during the pandemic, in fact, it’s ESSENTIAL!
