Glamorous Old Hollywood Party Details: This is what Lucia said about designing/styling the party- “A beautiful hotel, rebuilt during the interwar period, was the inspiration for Chernyse’s 21st birthday party. Originally Chernyse had planned to use a pastel, vintage theme for the party but when she saw the beautiful faceted glass and rich colours, she knew she wanted to do something as decadent and glamourous as the space! Using 1920s Gatsby and 1930s film sirens as inspiration, Chernyse created a party that was truly a sophisticated affair. Guests were served canapes and sipped champagne as well as being treated to a dessert table that would have impressed Gatsby himself. “I wanted the dessert table to be as opulent as something you’d see at one of Gatsby’s parties but to feel more like a Hollywood starlet’s dressing table,” said stylist Lucia. To that end, Strawberry + rhubarb and cookies + cream macarons, were placed in a beautiful jewellery box. Beautifully ornate cupcakes and ‘crystal’ drink stirrers were arranged on velvet jewellery trays. And photo frames and a stunning art deco decanter and glasses were added to the table. A red velvet and cream cheese buttercream cake stole the show and what Gatsby table would be complete without a champagne tower? This one was created with sparkling Moscato jelly. Très stylish?
