Neverland Peter Pan + Tinkerbell Party Details:This is what Tiffany said about planning/designing the party- “My kids birthdays fall just about a month and a half apart with my sons being 2 days prior to Christmas. I knew a party at Christmas time wasn’t likely, so I decided to throw a joint party for my daughter Aubrey turning five in November and my son Jase turning two in December. I needed a great theme to celebrate both our babies, so i chose Neverland. Who doesn’t love pirates & pixies? Hosting a party in Washington during November is most likely to bring rain and soggy weather. I needed a venue big enough to hold a bouncy house and something indoors. I chose a beautiful barn venue located in Snohomish Washington( Thomas Family Farms). I began party planning months in advance as I’m a procrastinator and tend to over stress myself. I decided I would do two different dessert tables, one displaying more of the Neverland “boy” theme and the other would display the fairy “gi rly” theme. I started with huge tissue flowers to be my back drop for the fairy table and a huge wood backdrop that came from our fence gate as the neverland backdrop. I love using things we already have so this wood was the perfect fit, i knew there was a reason i kept it in the garage for so long. I wanted the fairy table to be more woodsy and not “cheesy” so i used a moss runner, moss baskets, wood rounds and some vintage wood pieces I already owned. I did incorporate my daughters fairy figures from the Disney store and placed them around the table. I chose to do an array of desserts from Pink Velvet Mushrooms cupcakes, chocolate flower cake pops and little “button” peanut butter crackers dipped in chocolate. Star, leaf and flower shaped sugar cookies and of course Aubreys ombre pixie cake which was layers of vanilla & strawberry cake. For the Neverland table i wanted a rustic fun feeling. I wanted to incorporate lots of gold and brigh t colors so I found just about anything and everything and spray painted it gold, from cake stands to the lids of round cardboard canisters I had from my wedding back in 2008. My mom and sister found this awesome Neverland map online and printed for me from Costco. I knew that would be perfect fit on the wood backdrop but we needed something else. This felt garland tutorial was calling my name so my mom & I got to work cutting and sewing this super easy and cute garland which would then frame my map. I layered the table with different fabrics I purchased from Joannes & fish netting i found at our local party supply store. I made super easy paper banners for both tables using The Little Golden books Peter Pan and Tinkerbell purchased from Barnes & Noble. I chose an array of desserts for this table using the same ingredients and cake/cookie mixes from the fairy desserts. I found some cute plastic sword food picks and thought those would be perfect for a cake pop stick, i matched the color of the sword to the color of chocolate & sprinkles for the pops. I also did little Peter pan hat shaped cake pops with a red fondant feather. Vanilla cupcakes & chocolate cupcakes. Sugar cookies shaped like little treasure maps (which came from a flag cutter) I didn’t have a map, pirate ships, skull n crossbones, tee pees and a red feather. These were my favorite to do! Cant forget the tee pees made from ice-cream cones & peanut butter crackers dipped in chocolate “gold coins”. I chose a simple green rustic cake for Jase topped with gold disco dust and a sweet peter pan paper topper. I left the center table displays to my hubby, he did all the flowers and arranging. We chose wood rounds, simple green mason jars filled with flowers and some table scatter. I had a coloring station for the kids as well as the bouncy house. My mom was so wonderful and brought all the appetizers and drinks. We went with pizza to k eep it simple, everyone loves pizza right?!
