Mermaid vs. Pirates Party Details: This is what Michelle said about planning/styling the party- “When my client, Gen, approached me with her idea for a theme, I felt instantly excited. Her concept was Mermaids vs. Pirates. How unique! The juxtaposition was more of to accommodate another special detail: the party is actually a double celebration, for the birthdays of both Gens daughter and husband! For the Mermaid side, I decided to work with the shades aqua and lavender to simulate the colors of the ocean and the undersea. One element I was very excited for was the jellyfish umbrellas though! The Pirates side was an extra joy to dress up. I created a special section for them, right beside the dessert table. Mitch and his friends in particular loves to drink, so we rounded up a treasure chest filled with all these special booze! Captain Mitch, you are wanted for smuggling joy to your family and countless acts of piracy! Just love that line”.
