Mermaids & Pirates Birthday Party Details: This is what Teresa shared about the party- “Samantha is one! This sweet little soiree was brought to life, as the Mama of Samantha was very interested in creating an out of the box mermaid themed event for a large group of girls and boys, further known as the mini mermaids and plundering pirates. Once we conceived this adorable theme, we worked on a color palette consisting of pastels and limiting the primary colors. My first vision was of a miniature royal table for children, complete with mini chiavari chairs with the birthday girl having her seat at the head. Details were perfected once the tablescape was designed: lavender linens, white fish netting for the length of the table, acrylic trays chock full of brown sugar to house the cheese and pb&j “sand wiches”, and the cutest of ombre plates, with matching mini party tassel hats and noisemakers. We created stations to decorate a starfish cookie, make a sand art bracelet, and paint a seashell. To keep within the me, we staggered white balloons mimicking undersea bubbles at varying heights from the chairs, and made certain the snacks, and sandwiches all remained ocean ready! Upon arrival, the little guests were greeted with a customized treasure chest filled with pearls, pirate patches, and gold coins to adorn themselves. The wonderful balloon artist and face painter/faux tattoo artist rocked the party. The girls and mamas were thrilled with their glitter mermaid matching tattoos! Guests dined on chocolate salted caramel and banana nutella flavored cake, french macarons, chocolate covered Oreos decorated with crabs and starfish, cake pops, madeleines, marshmallow pops, and candy. The party wouldn’t be complete without a shaved ice truck for everyone to enjoy in the Florida heat. The mini mermaids and plundering pirates were treated to a parting gift of a small beach bucket filled with goodies. We were so thrilled to create an event for this happy little mermaid on her most special first birthday.” Additional sea fare and excitement found here: Mermaid Oasis Themed Birthday Party Mermaids vs. Pirates Themed Birthday Party Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
