This spectacular MARY POPPINS THEMED SECOND BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Courtney Davis of Sweeter Than Cupcakes . What a sweet party! I especially love all of the nostalgic Mary Poppins items and ideas in it such as the bag with a lamp, shoes, and a Mary Poppins umbrella in it. There are also so many cute desserts and treats as well in this party that would be perfect for not only a birthday party, but for a Mary Poppins movie night party as well.
The Mary Poppins party ideas and elements that I like best from this darling birthday celebration are:
The cute chimney sweep marshmallow pops The cute Mary Poppins sayings and treat labels The fun supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus sugar cookie garland The darling cheese umbrellas made by using black flexible straws The fun measuring tape used on the frames, cupcake stand, etc The cute “feed the birds” metal tub with birdseed The vintage Mary Poppins banner The cute “17 cherry lane” backrop and MORE!

Mary Poppins Party Details:This is what Courtney said about planning the party- “It was so much fun to celebrate my daughters second birthday with something she loves so much. Mary Poppins filled our thoughts and imagination for the day, and it was quite a jolly holiday. I filled in all the roles from sewing and crafting to baking. The party activities included a kite decorating craft, a bird feeder craft, and a musical parade. The snacks included peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut with a penguin sandwich cutter, penguin crackers, umbrella cheese, popcorn, and lemonade. The umbrella cheese was made from Babybel cheese rounds cut in half. I trimmed some black straws from Ikea to make the handles. I made the banner from copied book pages from our vintage Mary Poppins books. Moving on to the sweets, we had plenty of Mary Poppins themed treats. We had dipped marshmallow chimney sweeps. The Jell-O clouds were blue Jell-O topped with a homemade marshmallow dollop. It wouldnt be a Mary Poppins party without a nod to the spoon full of sugar th at makes the medicine go down. I bought these cute sundae spoons at Joanns on clearance and used them to make cake-pop spoons. The final table was home to the favors. The sugar cookie garland spelled out Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Chocolate tuppence, bird whistles, and sidewalk chalk rounded out the favors”.
