This is what was shared about styling the party- “It was no surprise that a soon to be 6 year old wished for a Unicorn birthday party – I was just too happy to oblige as these types of enchanted celebrations brings out the inner unicorn in all of us. I wanted the party to be whimsical and girly but with some fun punches of color, so I went with a dreamy white and pastel colour palette and ended up adding a few bolder colours such as the aqua blue tins, bright pink berry drinks and the foldable acorns which really stood out! This magical Unicorn and Rainbow birthday party was held at Vintage Rose in Waterkloof, South Africa. It had never ending pastel rainbows with accents of golden unicorns to make all your magical unicorn wishes come true and off course the table was decked out in pure Unicorn magic. I ended up using the kids table as the main dessert table and it worked brilliantly. The table included the traditional unicorn fare, like rainbows, tons of sparkle and clouds and these were all included in the sweet treats too – rainbow sugar cookies, a lovely ombre cake, candy rainbow necklaces, fruity pastel tubes, cloudy sparkle cotton candy and my absolute favourite; the unicorn snack mix with caramel coated popcorn, sparkles, sprinkles and mini meringues.

What unicorn birthday party would be complete without unicorn horn party hats? I made these glitter foam horns embellished with a velvet tie back and colour coordinating ribbon fringe for each little guest and they looked just darling wearing them! To my surprise the girls had them on the entire party. After the candles were blown out all the girls had their chance taking a swing at the rainbow pinãta which was filled to the brim with rainbow treats and gold confetti as a surprise.
