This fantastic MADAGASCAR THEMED FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Daphne Seow of ParteeBoo . What a fun theme for a first birthday party. I especially love the cute penguin cupcake toppers and the awesome Madagascar cake with the characters bursting out of crates. This party has so many ideas that would not only work for a Madagascar party, but would work for a Zoo or Safari party as well.
The Madagascar party ideas and elements that ParteeBoo liked best from this fun first birthday event are:
The paw print direction signs which we taped on the floor leading to the venue. The paw prints had witty sayings or quotes from the Madagascar movie. The venue was decorated with helium balloons. We taped “leaves” to the balloon strings to resemble jungle vines. The party masks that were handmade to resemble Gloria, Alex, Melman, etc (all characters from the Madagascar movie). The Wishes Cards which were placed on each person’s table seating for the guests to write their personal messages to the birthday boy. The gorgeous backdrop which had an adorable picture of Lucas, the famous crates from Madagascar and of course all the characters from the movie. The mineral water bottles with customized labels and little leaves attached to create that jungle “feel”. The Marshmallow Hippos a.k.a. Goodies from Gloria! The beautiful cake and the adorable cupcakes that had penguins in every shape and size.
