Little Red Riding Hood Picnic Party
A classic fairy tale like Little Red Riding Hood goes well with this classic, yet chic execution of a picnic-inspired, red-cloaked birthday party. Although it is hard to decide, I think my most favorite facet of this celebration is the red wire picnic baskets filled to the brim with snacks for each guest. I love this modern element within a classic party! The party ideas and elements that you won’t want to pass up from this darling birthday event include:
An adorable Little Red Riding Hood-themed cake Darling toadstool and apple sugar cookies Red and white gingham table covers Drinks cloaked in red capes Scrumptious baked goods Fruit filled baskets and MORE!

Little Red Riding Hood Party Details:This is what Rima said about planning/styling the party- ‘It is hard to believe that my daughter, Kate, turned three years old already. Time surely flies! She has enriched our lives beyond measure and continues to comfort our family in ways that reach far beyond her young age. To celebrate my special girl’s 3rd birthday, I felt there was no better theme than Little Red Riding Hood because, as a fairy tale is defined, Kate’s attitude about life is a story of imaginative and magical tales in itself. Kate was so excited of being dressed in red riding hood costume (which she can also wear for Halloween this year. Double saving for mommy!). DESSERT TABLE Into the woods was a woodsy and imaginative wonderland dessert table with pops of red, teal, and white colors. I wanted to keep the feeling natural, organic yet sophisticated, so the dessert table was decorated with wood slabs, wood crates, etc. This table had all of Reds favorites, such as apple-shaped cookies, mushroom cookies, fruit pies, red berry pie, berry jams, and of course red apples. I also love the fun and detailed Little Red Riding Hood cake. This party has so many great ideas that would be perfect for not only a Little Red Riding Hood Party, but for a Woodland Party as well. FOOD TABLE The savory table was filled with variety of Indonesian food; accompanied by Reds water bottles and Forest Fruit Punch. I especially love all of the darling Little Red Riding Hood banners, frames, and color-coordinated utensils and miscellaneous details. FAVORS TABLE I prepared an assortment of goodies packaged in picnic red baskets and red checkered wax papers. The kids can bring home these basket full of wishes with a simple message and reminder for the kids to be nice to all the grandmas out there! KIDS TABLE The table was setup with each set of red-theme plates, cups, birthday hats, bottle water, and utensils. Beside the huge playground available in the park, there was also coloring activity that I prepared for the kids. With the red riding hood printable and markers, the kids enjoyed some me time with their drawing (while eating I hope). SIGNAGE/CHALKBOARD Over the river through the woods to Grannys house you go! Beware of the Big Bad Wolf the sign reads as you walk past the woodland driveway. This wood signage was handmade by Kates favorite auntie, Stacy, the co-maker at Ready Set Make. She also designed and drew the chalkboard of Little Kate Riding Hood with her amazing talent. All the better to see you welcomed the guests with the chalkboard art itself. These added gorgeous details to the party as a whole! It was an amazing party and I look forward to her one day looking back at these photos and thinking Wow, I had an awesome 3rd birthday mom!
