Vintage Circus Birthday Party Details:
This is what Kristen shared about the party- “Celia wanted her son Jaxsons 1st birthday party to be totally unforgettable. She decided a vintage circus theme would not only be fun, colorful and child-friendly but it would also work well in their backyard. A vintage circus motif in red, yellow and aqua blue was chosen for the custom invitations which featured a ticket-style design and caricature of Jaxson as the ringmaster on them. These awesome invitations set the tone for the rest of the event! A large tent draped in bunting banners was setup in Jaxsons backyard along with several tables, signs other décor elements. The guest tables were decorated with floral centerpieces in vintage Barnums animal cracker tins and the sweets table featured candy buffet containers, stacks of tickets, a vintage drum and other bright circus signs and decorations. Games and activities filled the back and front yard. It was a sight to see for sure! Games included some circus staples including can toss, ring toss, as well as a sack race, over-sized Jenga game and a Pin the Nose on the Clown game. Activities included an exotic animal show, face painting, balloon artist, caricature artist, pony rides, a photo booth, color-your-own circus poster, and design-your-own clown hat craft. Basically there was no end to the fun at this party! Party goers received popcorn boxes filled with playdough, clown ring pops, glow sticks, marshmallow clowns, large swirl lollipops, bubbles and Jaxson’s circus animal cracker boxes. Additional prizes were given out including: Yo-yos, jump ropes, bouncy balls, toy cars, and Rubiks cubes. Some of the most unique ideas included the special Dr. Seuss book If I Ran The Circus which was displayed asking guests to sign it with special messages for birthday boy Jaxson. It was setup under an awesome banner that featured 12 adorable photos of Jaxson at each month of his first year! The highlight of the party for mom Celia was seeing Jaxsons expression of joy when he was first taken outside to the Circus in his backyard. He truly enjoyed all of the colors and activities that were awaiting him. The rest of the guests (children and adults alike) also had a blast. It was a truly unforgettable event for an amazing little boy”!
