Ice Cream Parlor Party Details:This is what Melody said about designing and styling the party- “My girls’ birthdays are only weeks apart, so we had a joint party as usual. What better way to celebrate our sweethearts, and pay homage to the beginning of summer, than to have an ice cream party! It was literally so sweet! Their very own mommy-made ice cream parlor was decorated with vibrant summery hues, inspired by the ice cream party invitations available at my store. The party was set up as an ice cream buffet. At the head was a lovely menu with the ice cream and topping choices, which, to my birthday girls, was truly an ode to ice cream. Oh the endless options! Our little guests chose their favorite flavor of ice cream and were delighted to add the toppings of their choice. We had beautiful and delicious sugar cookies decorated as popsicles and ice cream cones, chocolate cupcakes and mini cupcakes for the smallest of tummies. The birthday cake was also inspired by the ice cream party invitation from my store with festive stripes and topped with a fun double scoop ice cream cone. I saw a DIY tutorial for an adorable ice cream piñata, and made a similar version for the party (link in credits) it was pretty simple, just a bit time-consuming as all piñatas are. I created a lovely Ice cream truck favor box, for our little guests to take home, filled with fun and yummy treats. I used several items from my store to complete the dazzling look, which lies in the details. Ice Cream Parlor Party Details:This is what Diane said about designing/styling the party- My daughter LOVES ice cream! So, I had to throw her an Ice Cream Parlor 3rd Birthday Party featuring a self-serve ice cream sundae bar with all the traditional toppings and with accommodating beverages of chocolate and strawberry milk! A gift table and thank you favor table were also part of this special day. And as guests arrived at the front door, they were greeted with a large birthday poster that stood on a tall easel. The dessert table and stationery were all designed to match in theme, in a whimsical color palette of pink, yellow, mint, brown, and white. And of course my 2 girls had to wear outfits, in colors that matched the party! The dessert table features a personalized striped canopy, mint green polka dot fabric wall backdrop, and 2 side panels that were detailed with a print featuring a large cherry. A white shelving unit was used to display the cake, cupcakes, and water bottles. The table was dressed with fabric, satin ribbon, and a paper garland. And two white vases with full bloomed yellow forsythia branches accented the table and reinforced a nice symmetry. A paper garland hung above the table and mint green and white metallic balloons floated along both sides of the table with super long streamers that fell to the floor. Many stationery details were used to carry out the theme including water bottle labels, cupcake toppers, favor tags, signage, birthday poster, tented food cards, drink labels, and striped paper straws with personalized flags. The birthday invitation was enclosed in a pink envelope that was detailed with a super fun wrap-around address label. Hope you enjoyed my little girl’s party and all the fun details!
