This is what Marla said about planning the party- “For my little Abe I couldnt resist the Honest Abe theme once it crossed my mind. Abraham Lincoln has some fantastic quotes so we used that along with the color copper as inspiration for decorating. I used an iron on transfer to make the Honest Abe shirt. We painted wooden utensils with copper paint and spray painted cans to go along with the copper color theme. We pulled out a vintage table and butter churner for the desserts and drinks and decorated with vintage books and copper accessories. We used copper wire and wooden dowels to hang the Lincoln quotes. Our parties are always a family affair. Abe’s Uncle Mike crafted this amazing copper cake stand for the party and I love the tiny silhouette cake topper Auntie Manda made! She also made the delicious ‘White Out’ white chocolate cake and little top hat cookies. My niece Caitlin spray painted the letters copper and hot glued pennies on for the Hones t backdrop. She also painted the wooden silhouette.”
