Holi Inspired Color War Birthday Party
Party details-
“When coming up with my son, Miles’s birthday theme we talked about all kinds of themes. One thing we wanted for sure was something that was just like his personality- FUN! So we landed up on a color bomb war theme! Our main inspiration was the Holi Festival. With Holi being 2 days before our party date we thought it was a perfect tie in. Our color inspirations were all about celebrating the end of winter (white) and and bring in the fun colors of spring!
Some of our favorite elements were:
– Colorful wristbands we included on the invites – Custom White shirts & Bandanas for the guests – Custom Crayola crayons to color forts – Cupcakes that each guest could “color” with sprinkles – Color Bomb War! When each guest arrive we showed them where they could “Gear Up For Battle”. Guests could grab a white t-shirt, bandana, sunglasses and decorate a backpack to store all of their supplies (and also to take home any dirty clothes). Then they went outside to decorate their forts for the color war! I wanted a fun way for the guests to enjoy desserts so instead of normal desserts we had: Cakesicles and Cupcakes to decorate by Belly’s Bake Shop Cookies that could be painted by Cookie Momster Creations
Color Battle!
Then it was time for battle! We made the color bombs using Holi Powder by Chameleon Colors and making the bombs by cutting up panty hose from the dollar store so guest could use the bombs over and over! Here is one of the party packs we purchased. We had guest use the sunglasses to protect their eyes and they could use the bandanas to protect their mouths or face if they wanted.
