Harry Potter Party Details: This is what Ycoy shared about the party- “When Cherry mentioned that Lexi is not the usual girly type (which is not too mainstream for a 7-year old girl), and that she loves spooky things, we were actually quite challenged. And so we thought of a cute theme that fit the bill but wasnt too Halloween and yet would be enjoyed by everyone. Channeling her vision, the style was a mix of contemporary and moody but still completely had that kiddie vibe. Spoiler alert: the whole affair was as magical as it gets!
- Kind of takes the birthday party to a new level, yeah?
- Gorgeous, gorgeous tablescapes! Props to Little K by K by Cunanan for the wonderful styling. Each table represents the different houses of Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Their colors are clearly reflected on the linens we used. The elaborate details are just WOW! Adorned with different books of spells and enchantments plus potion bottles, feathers in cloches (WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA), white pumpkins, lots of candles (representing the Great Hall), and the mandrakes (ohmygosh I die) and the genius idea of the boiling mini cauldrons, we are completely blown away by the gazillion details present. To finish the magical look, Marauders maps are used as table runners. Oh Mischief Managed!
- The mirror of ERISED as entrance. The Mirror of Erised is an ancient, ornate mirror. It has clawed feet and a gold frame inscribed with the phrase “Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi.” The mirror shows the most desperate desire of a person’s heart. On that day, it clearly reflected smiling faces and joyful hearts of each guest.
- Honeydukes is a legendary wizarding sweets shop famous for its chocolate and many, wonderful and wild sweets. It is located in the wintry, all-wizarding village of Hogsmeade. And of course, theres no other way to create a dessert bar than to be inspired by this store. The dessert bar shelf matches the teal color of the shop and houses the most awesome Harry Potter inspired desserts and candies: from Snitch cakepops, Hogwarts houses cookies, cupcakes, Reeses broomsticks, Gringotts gold coins, sorting hats pastries and a lot more.
- The cake is too awesome for words. Blowing our minds with gazillion Harry Potter details.
- The stage is so perfect! The backdrop showcases the banners of each house, travel luggages, owl cages, spiders, and broomsticks, London lamp posts.
- The star of the show is Hedwig in a cage. And yes, Hedwig is a piñata!
- As welcome to the kids, robes and neckties were given to them by the entrance. The sorting hat is placed on their head and they were asked to draw lots to determine their houses (and the colors of their ties).
- Our crafts team replicated the magical wands of each of the famous wizard in the Harry Potter series. You have to see them!!!
- And what is a Harry Potter theme without butterbeer? Of course, everyone got a taste of this famous drink served in their signature mugs.
- Face painting Harry Potter details and scar. Obvs.
- Loot bags are Monster Book of Monsters. No words, no words.
- Photo area is (drumrolls please!) Platform 9 ¾ of the Hogwarts Express We thank our stellar suppliers who helped us create this spellbinding party!”
