This is what Phaedra said about styling the party- “It surprises me how many hidden churches you can find in the mainland of Greece! This private garden event in Preveza was held at a church in Limni Zirou. Its beautiful scenery and unique features made it ideal for an intimate, outdoor ceremony. The lake area around it is a unique habitat, almost untouched by man. Our theme was inspired by the boy of honor’s name, Hermes, as well as the latest book of the known Greek writer, Evgenios Trivizas. Manousenia created a custom sketch design with watercolor elements inspired by Triviza’s kids book “Little Hermes.” The book also inspired designs and styles throughout the whole event. Hermes was the ancient Greek god of trade, wealth, luck, fertility, animal husbandry, sleep, language, thieves, and travel. One of the cleverest and most mischievous of the Olympian gods, he was the patron of shepherds, invented the lyre, and was, above all, the herald and messenger of Mt. Olympus. Ultimately, he came to symbolize the crossing of boundaries in his role as a guide between the two realms of gods and humanity. We combined wooden banqueting style with farm-fresh garden details. It perfectly captured the natural ambience of the location. No table setting is really complete without a styled menu to provide a finishing touch to its look! This sprawling open house provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate open air dinner.
