Gold Glitter Star Party Details: This is what Diane said about planning/styling the party- “Another year has gone by and my daughter’s 2nd Birthday has arrived! Being a busy Mommy of 2 girls and running my own stationery business, My Lady Dye, I always look forward to these special occasions. I love making time to custom design my daughter’s birthdays so that they are extra special. It’s so much fun designing and planning their parties, from the stationery to the dessert table and all the other little handcrafted details and decor! This year I decided to do a Gold Glitter Star themed birthday party for Briella, in a color palette of gold and white with pink and peach accents. It seemed the perfect fit, as she is our little “star”, always smiling and ready to shine! The stationery included a fun birthday invitation that was layered, double-sided, and embellished with a gold glitter star. On the back of invite, features her monogram and the “twinkle, twinkle, little star” story lines. Cute personalized favor tags accompanied the muslin favor bags that were embellished with a wooden star that I treated with gold glitter spray paint. The kids also received little “grab-and-go” cookie boxes that were personalized with stickers saying “Cookie Time!”. Paper straws with personalized “flags” saying “Sparkle Juice” and matching gold glitter star cupcake toppers and water bottle labels. The “Happy Birthday Briella” banner was draped across the gold glitter photo vinyl backdrop and dressed with satin ribbon ties. Gold star balloons floated above this backdrop to add dimension and fun to the space. The kids really loved this space. For decor, I handcrafted the star garlands that were suspended from the ceiling to create a whimsical backdrop with a 3D effect. Various sized gold glitter paper stars and large wooden stars were glued onto bakers twine to create this layered backdrop. The wooden stars were treated with gold glitter spray paint. The large, layered, paper fan wall decoration was the focal point of the tablescape. Detailed with ribbon to add hints of color and a gold glitter “B” in honor of my birthday girl. The “B” along with the “2” cake topper were both wooden details that were spray painted. For fun, I handcrafted a few star wands for the kids. These were made of felt, a wooden dowel, satin ribbon, and gold bells. And adding a small floral touch always brightens and softens the tablescape. Lastly, I want to thank all whom helped! To my parents and uncle for all their help and contribution to the catered food. To my brother’s wife for handling all the food preparation so I could setup the table & decor. To her mom for baking the checkerboard cake, cupcakes, and star cookies. And to my loving husband and my brothers for driving around town to get all the other little details needed to pull the party together! Love you all, especially my two little girls!”!
