Monkey Party Details: This is what Holly said about planning and styling the party- “Monkey Do, Monkey See…Curious Emma is turning three! My little Emma loves monkeys. Basically from the day after her second birthday party, she started asking for a monkey party when she turned three. I absolutely feel in love with the idea of a sweet girly monkey party. I designed the decor with an old fashioned ice cream parlour in mind in soft pastel blue, pink and yellow. Decor: For the printables, I created a cute monkey character who of course had to have a cute bow. I made a fun and easy ruffled table skirt to match and painted blue and white stripes on the backdrop. I had several stuffed monkey dolls to accompany the decor and fabric banners and backdrops. Food: For the monkey treats, we had Chocolate peanut butter and chocolate butter cream cupcakes from the Cupcakery with adorable banana and monkey fondant by the super talented Brittany from Edible Details, yummy chocloate monkey and banana cakepops by Nikkis Cakepops; sugar cookies; amazing fudge (banana creme pie, elvis, and peanut butter chocolate) by Jewel of the Lion, chocolate covered oreos by Sweeties by Kim, and a gorgeous chocolate cake with ruffled buttercream frosting with the cutest Fondant Monkey Letters by Edible Details. Since my little monkey loves hot dogs, we also had a hot dog bar with tons of toppings and famous hot dog recipes. Activities and Favors: The little monkeys played monkey games including a banana bean bag toss, pin the banana on the monkey and monkey coloring pages. Each child was able to adopt a monkey to take home from the party along with some monkey food (banana runts) in a tube and some monkey bars (chocolate bars) and banana suckers. They were also able to dress like little monkeys with custom made monkey headbands”.
