This is what Lisa shared about the party- When I started designing my daughter Olivia’s birthday, I knew it had to have represent her very big personality. She is sweet, at times wild in the most inspiring way and her love for life is contagious and can set you free! And there it was, we had the perfect inspiration for Olivia’s birthday! All good things are wild and free.
Design:
The geometric bohemian-chic design was inspired by her love for teepees and the outdoors. I knew I wanted to keep it earthy and natural with some modern elements. The black and white patterns and stripes kept the design modern and fresh. The wood accessories, picnic tables, wildflowers brought the bohemian feel to life. I added hints of blush to create warmth and a touch of femininity.
Centerpieces:
The centerpieces were a combination of a unique blend of beautiful florals. They felt light and airy yet fresh and beautiful. Peonies, garden roses and spray roses gave a touch of polish to the greens.
Desserts:
The most fun we had was while designing the many cakes and desserts that were displayed in front of a pink velvet backdrop.We used wafer flowers for their softness and kept it all white with calligraphy style writing. The smaller cakes had watercolor effects with florals. We made teepee and bow and arrow cookies to tie in our entire look. We added extra large balloons on the sides with polka dot custom made tassels.
Lounge:
The teepee area where the kids were able to relax, play, draw and eat was the most favored area by adults and kids! We added stationary, wooden signs and custom pillows to create warmth and personalize the space. To keep the children entertained we hired Olivia’s favorite singing teacher who she started with at only 3 months old. Both kids and adults enjoyed singing out loud to their favorite songs and playing instruments. I made instruments they can use for a personal touch. We also had a puppet show they enjoyed by the teepee area. We made gold tote bags to give away to all of our guests full of “wild and free” stationary. They also took home wildflowers they planted themselves at our “lets grow” area we had set up. So much love went into each detail. Most importantly, I could have not been more happy for the memories we created in a beautiful setting.
