As I said last week, I’m so excited for the upcoming big game! I’ve teamed up with Coca-Cola and NABISCO this month to bring you some fabulous football game party ideas, recipes, and tips. I’ve been planning my 2016 “Home Bowl” party, and today I’m excited to share my FOOTBALL OREO COOKIE ICE CREAM SANDWICHES plus COCA-COLA FOOTBALL BOTTLES with you! Giveaway is now closed But, that’s not all….I’M ALSO GIVING AWAY A “HOME BOWL” COCA-COLA + NABISCO PARTY PRIZE PACK (VALUED AT APPROXIMATELY $400!) TO TWO, YES TWO, LUCKY WINNERS! Scroll to the bottom of this post to find out how to win!
Football Oreo Ice Cream Sandwiches Recipe-
Items needed: OREO Cookies Vanilla Ice Cream 1/2 Stick Butter Football Silicone Mold (you can find a similar one to mine, here)
Step 1: Using a food processor (or a spoon), crush your OREO Cookies until you have 2 cups of crumbs.
Step 2: Melt 1/2 cup butter in the microwave in a medium size bowl. Add 2 cups crushed OREO Cookies and mix well.
Step 3: Spoon your cookie mix into the football molds and press firmly into the bottom of each shape. Bottom layer should be about 1/4″ thick. Cover the remaining cookie layer mix and set aside. Step 4: Place the mold in your freezer for about 1 hour or until the cookie layer freezes.
Step 5: After your cookie layer is frozen, take your vanilla ice cream and melt the ice cream in the microwave until runny. Take out the football tray from the freezer and pour the creamy ice cream into the football molds up to about 1/4″ from the top. Place the mold in the freezer again for about an hour, or until the ice cream hardens/freezes.
Step 6: Once the ice cream freezes take the remaining OREO Cookie layer and heat on high in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or until moist again. Step 7: Remove the mold from the freezer and finish off the OREO football ice cream sandwiches by adding the final OREO Cookie layer. Press the OREO Cookie layer into the molds so the top of the football sandwiches are even. Place the tray in the freezer again for about an hour.
Step 8: Remove the mold from the freezer and carefully remove the OREO football ice cream sandwiches as shown below…pushing each cookie out from the bottom (make sure your cookies are nice and frozen at this point so they won’t break).
Step 9: Place OREO ice cream sandwich cookies on a platter or tray and serve with an ice-cold Coca-Cola! If you aren’t serving them right away, cover and store in the freezer.
