Floral Photo Hoop DIY SO many of you have been asking how/where I made the gold hoop frame for Ellas monthly pictures! It was seriously the easiest DIY ever. I bought a hula hoop from the dollar store and just spray painted it gold. This is the gold paint I used. Ive used it on several other projects in my home and Im obsessed with the color. Its almost a rose gold and is so beautiful. Then I just hot glued some extra flowers I had from making her E and some gold ribbon from Michaels. I hope that helps! Floral Wooden Hoop Wreaths This was another easy DIY! I just found several wooden embroidery hoops at Michaels and some pretty white flowers and leaves I liked and hot glued them on! I used the 14?, 10?, and 7? sizes here. Floral E Yet another easy DIY! I traced the shape of an E on cardboard and then just hot glued flowers on that I clipped off of bouquets I got at Michaels. I added some green leaves on to give it a more natural look. It hangs in her room and was one of my favorite DIY projects I did before she was born! Four Party Planning Tips Ellas beautiful party wouldnt have been possible without all of my talented friends! My mom kept asking me if I made all of the floral first birthday decorations! Unfortunately, Im not that talented (nor do I have that much time)! A few things I learned from throwing Hudsons first birthday party helped me plan Ellas: Its OK if youre not planning months in advance. With Hudson I handmade EVERYTHING and it literally took me months to get it all together. This time I just spent a few weeks before nailing down the details. So on that note, you have to figure how much your time is worth. What I mean is is it worth it to make the cupcakes, and the banner, and the favors, and the invitations by yourself??? I did all of that for Hudsons birthday and the day of his party was crazy! This time I decided to let my talented friends help with parts of the party so that I wasnt running around the whole time! We did her party at 3:00 and it was PERFECT! I did a lunch for Hudsons first birthday party and it was so much work. I hardly had any time to enjoy my guests. But with Ellas we just had snacks so I saved SO MUCH MONEY on food! I also had my sister-in-law take pictures this time, which also allowed me to spend more time with my guests, and the pictures turned out so beautiful! Sometimes its just best not to do it all. So all-in-all her party was a success: I wasnt stressed out, and I think everyone had a good time!” Vendors: Ellas Headband c/o – Heartfelt Blooms Floral E, Floral Hoop Wreaths, Floral picture frame – Jessica Ashcroft – Love Love Love Tulle highchair garland c/o Heartfelt Blooms Cake topper – Peachy Details Cupcake toppers – Peachy Details Tassel garland – Peachy Details Photography – Morgan Love Photograph More girly 1st birthday party inspiration here!
