“The inspiration for this event was “A Farmhouse 4th”. Consequently, the chosen venue was the “Matthew Root Barber House” (c.1854) in Martinez CA, which is also home to @alhambravalleysoaps. During the event, we enjoyed individual cheese boards and amazing wine. Everything was served on a vintage European tasting table, used for wine and cheese tastings. Certainly, we were so grateful to have McBride Sisters as our wine partner for this Rosé, White and Blue party. They are a black-owned wine company, who are making waves in the wine industry and beyond. They company is owned by two sisters and their story is amazing. For the decor, a local vintage shop called The Spotted Cow provided so many incredible vintage pieces, including an American flag, pickle jar vases, and more. In addition, monochromatic balloons and blooms adorned the farmhouse, the darling mobile beverage cart, and the carriage house. In the end, not only did we come together creatively and mix up the traditional BBQ 4th of July look, but we also sat and enjoyed wine, cheese and conversation!
