Farmer’s Market Mother’s Day Event
This is what Naseem shared about styling the party-
“Conceptualizing event design for all of our big holidays is one of my favorite things! Being a “start-up church” if you will, makes it hard because our events are always on a budget, but I actually really enjoy the challenge of creating something beautiful while still making it affordable. This year, my idea came to me back in March through something simple – lemons! From there, I started playing around with the idea of doing a gourmet Lemonade stand, with mouth-watering flavors like elderberry lavender and blood orange.
Baking Delights
One of the moms at our church who owns her own baking business made us the cutest lemon sugar cookies, and my friend Britni who is a super-talented calligraphy artist created the perfect print-out for moms to take home saying, “you’re the zest, mom!” We had a colorful lemon and greenery themed photo booth for moms to take advantage of as well; complete with a lounge area and plants for added texture and dimension.
DIY Boquet Bar
Finally, the highlight of our day was the DIY bouquet bar. Moms had the opportunity to pick greenery and stems from a wide array of flowers and then have our lovely Care Team wrap them in butcher paper and yellow ribbon.
