Fancy Fiesta Party Details: This is what Nora said about planning/styling the party- “Hi! I’m Nora from Sugar & Sparkle in Reedley, California, and My business partner, Veronica Mojica, and I decided to throw a Fiesta for my mom’s birthday. Since her birthday is a week shy of Cinco de Mayo, the theme seemed fitting. Our main colors were mint, gold, and hot pink. We handcrafted tissue and paper flowers for the backdrop and to use throughout the set up. We also hand crafted a piñata cake topper with her initial and painted succulent pots in mint & gold. For table decor we used various Mexican food cans with flowers, painted lanterns, old Jarritos bottles, a zarape runner, and a mint tablecloth. For the room we draped papel picado banners from Party City and I handmade a welcome banner that greeted guests as they arrived. We painted a chalkboard menu and added tissue flowers and a ruffled crepe paper corner. There was a taco bar for the main course and guests had pint size mason jars to serve themselves & quot;Aguas Frescas”, or fresh juices- orange, lemonade, and hibiscus water. For dessert we served strawberry yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit with lime and chili powder, Mexican bread, custom cookies by Sweet Baketique, various Mexican candies, and a mint ombre rosette & rustic buttercream cake by Olivia’s Cakes. Guests took home wrapped custom cookies and mini succulent pots. The gorgeous sequin linen was provided by The Linen Shoppe”.
