End of Summer Retro Camping Party Details:
This is what Ashley shared about the party- ‘Every year my parents host an event to get their family and friends together for one last party before summer is over. This year’s event was inspired by summer camp mixed with my family’s love of vintage items. I wanted all the guests to feel like they had left our town and been transported to a summer camp from the past. This summer camp tone was set early on from the moment the guests received their invitations. The wooden textured envelopes, plaid address labels, and kraft paper invitations gave them a peek at what to expect at “Camp Liverpool”. I had the pleasure of styling this event and creating the paper goods. My parents handcrafted many items for the event. This is including the welcome and farewell signs, the mobile wooden bar, and the fabric pennant banners. Vintage items sourced from local thrift stores. Also, flea markets, and my dad’s very own collection were put on display to create the eclectic atmosphere for Camp Liverpool. I used these items to style the food, dessert, and favor tables.
Decor and More
Fabric pennant banners with paper lanterns lit up the summer night sky as guests visited the “Mess Hall” for dinner. We celebrated the end of summer with a variety of food. Including homemade salsa, campfire weenies, tri-tip, BBQ ribs, and juicy watermelon slices. The youngest campers went exploring while wearing their favorite animal ears. They “bird watched” with toilet paper roll binoculars handcrafted by my mom, enjoyed corn hole, played ping pong, and went swimming. The “Senior Campers” enjoyed beverages served on the mobile bar. At the end of the night guests enjoyed homemade banana pudding made by my grandmother and chocolate chip cookies served on adorable bear plates. The campers bid farewell to camp for another year and set off on their journey home with trail mix favors and bubble wands for the “Junior Campers”.’ Vendors: Venue: The Patters’ Backyard Event planning, styling, paper goods, floral design: 4414 Designs Bear plates, animal headbands: Meri Meri Paper lanterns: SaveOn Crafts Envelopes and card stock: Paper & More Photography: 4414 Designs Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
